Capital Trees relies on individual donors to help create and care for the public greenspaces that make Richmond healthier, more connected, and more resilient.
In FY26, 700 volunteers contributed more than 2,600 hours caring for Richmond’s greenspaces. We planted 6,000+ trees in a new microforest and 100+ trees through community plantings across Richmond—putting our mission to awaken, restore, and transform the environment into action.
But planting is just the beginning. We stay. Through long-term stewardship, our projects become more beautiful, healthy, and vital over time. We continue caring for the soil, nurturing plants and trees, engaging volunteers, and adapting our landscapes so they can thrive for years to come.
And we’re not stopping there. This fiscal year, we will announce new projects that bring more opportunities to awaken, restore, and transform Richmond’s public greenspaces. Your investment makes both possible: the care we give to the places we’ve already created and the vision to create what comes next.
